Traditional Fun

I toyed around with some traditional media this week. Here are some examples:

This was the Second time I have ever used colored charcoal. Though it can get quite messy quickly, it is fun and delivers a nice result.

Style Samples for Sand Castle to the Moon

Here are some tests I'm doing for the style of a new childrens book I'm working on for a client here in the Bay Area. Though the watercolor look was nice, I believe it is too distracting. Though there is a lot more testing to be done, the first design exhibits where I plan to go with this project.

Some Sketches

I had a lot of fun sketching concepts for an old voodoo lady. After running along witches and old hags, I landed on a evil gypsy that I'm rather fond of.

Inspired

Last night I was sick as a dog, yet after watching a good movie I pulled together the motivation to brake out the paints for the first time in too long.

Acrylic on canvas.
