For inspiration on new styles, I turned to Sergio Toppi. I used ink and calligraphy pens, as well as some watercolor.

I toyed around with some traditional media this week. Here are some examples:
This was the Second time I have ever used colored charcoal. Though it can get quite messy quickly, it is fun and delivers a nice result.

Here are some tests I'm doing for the style of a new childrens book I'm working on for a client here in the Bay Area. Though the watercolor look was nice, I believe it is too distracting. Though there is a lot more testing to be done, the first design exhibits where I plan to go with this project.
